Russell Martin gets first home run call from John Sterling, 'Russell has muscle'

Update #3, Suzyn Waldman on WFAN with Mike Francesa, Fri., July 1st, says the "il est la" (in French, 'he is there') part of Sterling's call is borrowed from a phrase relating to the Montreal Canadiens hockey team. Martin is Canadian.

In the bottom of the 5th, Saturday, April 2nd vs Tigers, Russell Martin hit a 3 run home run. As he rounded the bases John Sterling exclaimed,

• "Russell has muscle."
