Giambi slides ahead of Varitek in Oakland

• Giambi scores in 2nd inning v Red Sox. The Oakland tv guys chuckled about Nick Swisher pitching for the Yankees tonight. Yankee radio post game mentioned he hadn't pitched since the 9th grade. The subject of his laughing on the mound was raised and Swisher apparently said he meant no disrespect to the game. ap photo
