Hank's cry for help--he wants an 'advisory group' like in championship years...

Failed Cubs bidders should consider buying the Yankees. As if their present state weren't bad enough, Hank Steinbrenner describes an even more hideous future. Fans and advertisers are given fair warning in his cry for help. eg

• The "mistakes" of this year took 5 years to develop and he's only had one year to figure them out.

• (AP): ""We're going to have to look at what has been done wrong over the last five years,

• which "I've had one year to try and figure out," he said Thursday

• at the Yankees' spring training complex. "Clearly, a lot of mistakes were made.""...

Finally, Hank waves a mile high white flag for all to see:

• (AP): "Steinbrenner is looking at setting up an advisory group,

• such as the one his father established before the Yankees' run of four World Series titles from 1996-2000."...
