  • In the loss, Scott Kazmir was nonetheless daunting. From NY Times,Tyler Kepner:
"Scott Kazmir became just the third pitcher in the last 50 years to strike out nine Yankees in a start of no more than five innings. The others were Erik Hiljus of Oakland in 2002 and Tom Bradley of the White Sox in 1972."
