Mike and Chris on WFAN, it's still open season

A "Ba-ba-booey" type caller just successfully got through on WFAN, and was not corrected by either Mike or Chris. The caller suggested "some of his friends" thought Pettitte might not be doing so well because....he took.... steroids...what do you guys think?

• Mike and Chris both said they didn't think that was the reason he didn't do that well last night, but did not point out that Andy Pettitte was never accused of taking steroids. They didn't mention a documented purchaser of steroids, Scott Schoeneweis, had a nice video of himself taking a golf lesson on the NY Times Sports page website 6/1/08.

On Farnsworth, Francesa brought up that Joba would've been brought in in the 7th last night, that the Yankees were more aggressive bringing him in with their better pitchers such as Wang and Pettitte, so it probably wouldn't have gotten to a tie situation.

• There is no defense for Farnsworth, yet WFAN puts callers on screaming in his behalf. without facts together, and what little they do know they keep repeating. It's in no one's interest except Yankee management to portray Farnsworth as something he's not and never has been.
