Larry Brown gave sportswriters interviews at traffic lights--NY Times

"Larry Brown's dismissal as the (Knicks') coach two years ago was in part because of his
  • his criticizing some players publicly without warning them.
  • He famously disrespected the policy when, in the prolonged period before he was fired, he
conducted roadside news conferences at a traffic light near the team’s practice facility." (Better idea--have the team dispense news to one reporter and one columnist per game. There's no need for so many beat reporters especially now that transportation costs are so high).
