Dibs needs a 12-step program for people who are powerless over Mariano Rivera

It's just not possible for any radio guy to be up to speed on all teams. Dibs thinks the Yankees lied about Mariano being hurt last night, & the reason Mo didn't go out was that he'd pitched 3 innings in a row 2 nights before. (As I mentioned earlier, Rivera leads the AL in ip this season among the top 20 late inning relievers). Dibs is so heated up about this, he implies Torre sent him out for that 3rd inning so he'd get the Win. First, if you knew anything about the team, you'd know the only guy Torre had left was Ron Villone. 2nd, what good do the wins do for Mariano? You & the BBWAA guys will only say he didn't get enough 'saves,' never look any further, for the reason that you'd have to recognize Rivera. 3rd, do you really think they'd come up with such a pathetic excuse as being injured while tying a shoe?
