Very interesting chunks from Dallas's Gerry Fraley... First, he loves Pat Gillick, thinks he commands respect & will do a great job in Philly. Says Buck Showalter is the real boss of the Texas Rangers (he's signed through 2010), and that Jon Daniels may be looking to him for decisions. Fraley says the team will try to trade Kevin Mensch, BECAUSE MENSCH LIKES TO HAVE FUN, and Buck is not big on that. Gerry says that John Hart has a huge ego, and has a floor to ceiling mirror in his office. Hart has focused on signing hitters in Texas as opposed to pitchers. At a previous job, he had hired a number of pitchers who flopped.
