Angels took Yankees to school in the playoffs

Boras informs us this won't happen to the Yankees next year if they buy his client, Johnny Damon. He figures the Angels educated the Yankees by walking Arod 11 times. And, he adds seriously, "I'm not asking the Yankees to take any risks with Johnny." This loony conversation is relayed in today's New Jersey Record by Bob Klapisch. I guess he figures no one else will do any math or find their own "data." For one thing, Damon showed he was breaking down physically last season. Not a big deal. But, if a player's gone a long time without a stint on the DL, it's more likely that he's due for some time there. Not less likely.
