Yankee John Ryan Murphy gets first major league home run and first John Sterling home run call, 'John Ryan sends one flyin''
Saturday, 4/26/14, LA Angels v Yankees at the Stadium, catcher John Ryan Murphy hit his first major league home run in the bottom of the fifth making the score 4-3 Yankees which was also the final score. Following is John Sterling's call:
"Swings and hits one in the air to deep left center field...that ball is gonna be....gone! Over the auxiliary scoreboard! John Ryan Murphy homers right over the auxiliary scoreboard in left center--so John Ryan--sends one flyin', and the Yankees take a 4-3 lead."
