"The game between the Oakland Athletics and Cleveland Indians scheduled for April 1 has been postponed because of rain.

The A’s said the game would be made up in a day-night doubleheader April 2. The first game is scheduled to start at 3:35 p.m. and the second game at 9 p.m.

It was the first rainout in Oakland since May 5, 1998.

Cleveland beat the A’s 2-0 in the season opener, which was played between rain storms that have hit the San Francisco Bay Area this week. The Indians have April 3 off before hosting Minnesota in its home opener April 4 in Cleveland."
