Some Yankee fans in stands at Yankee-Angels game, "Every stadium is infested," said Torii Hunter

• "There was as much if not more Yankee navy blue Saturday night at Angel Stadium as there was Angel red,

so it wouldn't be wrong to say that the "sellout" crowd of 43,619 went home happy.

Alex Rodriguez's two-run home run off Angels starter Ervin Santana in the sixth inning snapped a 1-1 tie and sent the Yankees on their way to a 3-2 victory.

Yankees starter CC Sabathia went 8 2/3 innings and left to a standing ovation, followed by a standing ovation for closer Mariano Rivera as he jogged in from the bullpen.

• With the crowd chanting "Let's go Yankees," Rivera needed one pitch to finish the game, getting Erick Aybar on a pop to short.

It had such a New York feel that even some in the right-field bleachers pulled the Yankee Stadium antic of chanting the Yankee players' names when they were in the field in the first inning.

• Only Robinson Cano turned and waved to the crowd as the Yankees do in New York.

"They infest everything," Angels right fielder Torii Hunter said of Yankees fans. "Every stadium is infested with Yankees fans. Not even mosquito repellent, nothing will stop them. They are loyal and they will infest your stadium."

Cano gave the right-field fans a bonus with a home run in the fourth inning. The ball barely cleared the short fence near the right-field foul pole, Hunter diving into the seats in a failed attempt to make the spectacular catch.

Hunter said he nearly caught the ball, but "caught a fan" instead, which started some dialog for a few moments.

"One guy was yelling, `Get off my friend,"' Hunter said. "It was a Yankee fan, like he was going to sue me or something. Infestations do bug you a little bit. I told the guy to clean it up. He said some things but it was all in fun."...
