Suzyn Waldman's notes on Albaladejo v Varitek

At the beginning of Varitek's at bat v Albaladejo in the 8th inning, Suzyn Waldman mentioned Varitek had been having a little trouble 'getting around on the fastball.' Albaledejo's 7th pitch to him was a 77 mph curveball which Varitek hit almost to the warning track. The sac fly allowed a runner to score from third. Suzyn wondered why Albaladejo hadn't stayed with fast balls knowing the odds would've been better.
