Neil Best glad not to be a baseball writer

Notes colleague Ken Davidoff reports from Las Vegas and is (still) a baseball columnist. (Which is very good). As I noticed yesterday, the Minneapolis Star Tribune has at least 9 Sports Columnists, and Newsday recently had only 3. Reports were the 'sports columnist' category was to be eliminated at Newsday, with the possibility that personnel would remain with a different title.
