In a shocking development, Selig slithers away from Waxman unscathed again

• Waxman says he believes Bud, figuring a $20 million xerox of an IRS bust couldn't have made a typo about Bud canceling drug testing in 2004:

"Selig and Fehr responded to Congress in June and said that their testimony was accurate

• but acknowledged that there was a moratorium on testing in 2004 and

• that it was significantly longer than the Mitchell report had suggested.

The Mitchell report had based the length of the moratorium on information provided by Rob Manfred, baseball’s executive vice president for labor relations.

• Selig said that Manfred had provided

• inaccurate information for the report and said that

the moratorium had lasted for more than half the season."
