Dibs--demanding Joba leave the bullpen was sign of Yankee meltdown in 2008

Rob Dibble with Casey Stern on XM 175 general discussion, mention Sabathia's lack of response to Yankee initial public offering. Dibs says players have more options today, can make good money other places. That players may be afraid to sign with the Yankees under the new administration whether it's Girardi or Hank and Hal.
  • Dibs cites possible player concern in last year's mid-season 'meltdown' of
  • ownership demanding that Joba leave the bullpen and become a starter.
  • This kind of behavior causes players to reconsider joining
  • the Yankees.
(Dibs is a reliable voice on how players see things). sm
