"The staggering economy has sent a ripple through the Arizona Diamondbacks' swimming pool.

• With sponsor Riviera Pools filing for bankruptcy protection, the Diamondbacks are looking to sell the naming rights to the pool area behind the right-center field fence at Chase Field.

The 2008 season was the first in a five-year, $1 million deal with Riviera Pools, the latest in a line of sponsors for the popular ballpark feature....

• (Team president Derrick) Hall said the club's other sponsorships remain robust despite the economy. But it might be difficult to find a replacement for Riviera at a time when the local housing industry is struggling.
