Klapisch reiterates: Giving Robinson Cano $30 million was a mistake
Bob Klapisch with Charley Steiner today believes the only excuse for Robinson Cano's lackluster year is he's not working hard enough. Says he's not a particularly driven person to begin with, nonchalant, Yankees threw a huge contract at a kid with questionable make-up, having made other proven players wait several years for a big payout. (Making Cano the equivalent of a bad decision to live with for years to come). On Jeter, thinks he's decaying. The team is not fixable this year, would take more than 1 or 2 changes to make it work.

Robinson Cano--Bowa: "work ethic wasn't good"
Dibs and Kevin bring up that Cano wasn't in position for Jeter's throw last night, (which the guys on Orioles radio also said in their post game), that he's not doing a lot of other things including hustling to first, not focusing in general.
- Dibs and Kevin replay an interview with Larry Bowa when he was with the Yankees and discusses Cano:
- So he (Bowa) worked with Cano on fielding and it made a difference.
