• P.S. According to Baseball-Reference, Wedge played in 30 games with the major league Red Sox team and just 5 as a catcher. Was mainly a DH. So they must have beat him up pretty good over at Pawtucket or wherever they had him catching.

Baseball Writers voted Wedge AL Manager of the Year in 2007.
