Continuing the NY Times: "Joe Nathan, the Twins’ closer, who lives in Knoxville, Tenn., was at the meetings to talk with Twins executives and said he believed the team will keep Santana.

• “I’m thinking they’re going to keep us,” said Nathan, whose name has also surfaced in trade talks. “They’re just trying to improve our team to get it as good as it can be for the ’08 season, hopefully. Right now, I’m just going to assume that our team is going to have myself on it and have Johan on it. I’m sure Johan is thinking the same thing.”"
