AWARDS CHIEF HAD HISTORY OF CRIMINAL & MENTAL PROBLEMS--RECIPIENTS FAKED

Even a little checking would've easily exposed the Dallas Press Club awards chief's brutal unsuitability. Millions of dollars AND CAREERS are at stake in these and other press association awards, but who is "judging the judges?" In highly centralized press circles, questioning is derided, eschewed. The "systems" are in charge of keeping the system alive, NOT IN MAKING SURE THE RIGHT THING IS DONE.
  • The slightest, polite query as to the credentials of decision-makers will earn the questioner labels of: "crazy," "silly," "ridiculous," "a danger to anyone's credibility," "a conspiracy theorist," etc. Note the 'labelers' don't present any substantiation. The result is the Dallas Press Club scandal and no reason to assume other press association "awards" would stand up to scrutiny. (I've asked for the credentials of BBWAA voters, but have been told they're confidential).
The Dallas Press Club scandal SHOWS THE DEFECTS OF THOSE REMAINING IN THE AWARDS HIERARCHY:
  • "The Press Club of Dallas is suing its former president for allegedly faking the judging of the Katie Awards, one of the region’s top prizes for journalists.

The suit, filed Monday in Dallas County District Court, also claims that Elizabeth Albanese was involved in “dishonest and fraudulent” activity with the club’s finances during her 19 months as president.

  • Last month, The Dallas Morning News reported that Ms. Albanese has a history of mental illness and a criminal history in three states under the name Lisa Albanese, including charges of theft, forgery, and circulating false documents."
