Bud Selig gets "Double Talk of the Week" award--NY Daily News

• What Selig meant to say: "My objective was to glom as much money as possible for our 'Extra Innings' package. Not only did I get big dough from DirecTV but, after agonizing, I found a way to shove our new 'Baseball Channel' down their throat too.""

This item from Bob Raissman's column picks up on what Bud said the other day on WFAN with Mike and Chris--the use of the word "agonize." Of course he previously contradicted himself by saying it was a simple matter that "DirecTV stepped up" with the best offer and now why should he entertain anyone who didn't step up in the beginning?
