Jack Wilson receives first Chuck Tanner Award from Pittsburgh writers
Shortstop Jack Wilson, Pittsburgh's most experienced everyday player, has won the first Chuck Tanner Award, presented by the city's chapter of the Baseball Writers' Association of America. The award recognizes the Pirates player whose professionalism, cooperation and availability best assist the writers in carrying out their daily responsibilities.
