Globe: Red Sox offer Damon 3 years

The Boston Globe reported Thursday that the Red Sox offered Johnny Damon a 3-year deal worth $27-$30 million. The story was later posted on mlb.com. It relates a phone call on Tuesday night in which Damon wished the Red Sox would make him an offer "sooner rather than later." No other offers have been reported, but Boras is said to have asked the Yankees for 7 years and $84 million. Boras' pitches have often landed his clients in a swamp. And getting booed.(Anyone who thinks money is the only thing has never had a job).
